I met Shaun while walking the Camino de Santiago in Hospital de \u00d3rbigo, just two days into my solo journey. A nationwide power outage had left me cut off and anxious, but our conversation that evening quickly\n turned into hours of sharing about life, challenges, and journeys. I immediately felt supported and safe around him.<\/p>\n

Over the next few days, we ran into each other along the Camino, and Shaun offered guidance, practical tools, and encouragement that helped me overcome fears, limiting beliefs, and self-doubt\u2014techniques I still\n use today. Shaun and I met on a path of determination and spiritual introspection. Shaun had a huge impact on my life when I was younger. A reflection on my time with Shaun, helping to unlock a moment of adversity in life.<\/p>\n

I had endured fifty-seven years of working life, objectives, and targets, but recent changes had left me sinking into anxiety and despair, resulting in morbid hypertension. My perspective on life had become skewed.<\/p>\n

On a clear day in January, I joined Shaun for a walk along the coast. Bare feet in the pebbles, the sun and wind on my face, the incoming tide on my toes \u2014 it was grounding, and strangely transformative. Shaun\n didn\u2019t judge; he listened with empathy and helped me reconnect with myself.<\/p>\n

His words were simple but powerful: plant your feet, praise yourself, embrace the goodness you bring to the world. Slowly, I felt lighter, more resilient, and more positive. Walking, talking, and sharing time\n with him helped me shift from numbness into clarity.<\/p>\n

It was a lesson in how to love yourself, and a reminder to change perspective, embrace simplicity, and see life\u2019s shine appear again. Lessons I now carry forward in moments when I feel stuck.<\/p>\n

My first experience of Shaun\u2019s skills was a grounding session at St Margaret\u2019s Bay, where we waded into the water to connect with nature. I found it incredibly calming, and it left a lasting impression.<\/p>\n

I met Shaun along the Santiago Way(Arzua), during a particularly difficult time in my life. I wasn\u2019t really looking for anything\u2014just some quiet and a path to walk. And yet, I came across someone who left a lasting\n mark.<\/p>\n

From the very beginning, he had this natural, empathetic, and truly genuine way of making me feel seen and welcomed. His advice\u2014never forced, always offered with quiet wisdom\u2014felt like the words of a father: simple,\n honest, and deeply meaningful.<\/p>\n

His fraternal presence, his ability to listen without judgment, to be there without intruding, helped me open up a little more to the world and to others. To trust again, even if just in small steps.<\/p>\n
